The Engine Check is a circular yellow label with a vertical column of four temperature sensitive cells that react at 88, 99, 110 and 121ºC. The cells change from white to black as each temperature is achieved. The label is adhesive backed and is typically used on remanufactured engines to show when normal operating temperatures have been exceeded through operational abuse, and provides evidence for warranty claims.
